What the free tier gives you
288 components need no payment and no account — npx shadcn add installs them straight away. Getting halfway through a project on the free ones before deciding about Pro is completely fine.
License scope
Use and modify them in your own products and in client work, with no limit on the number of projects.
- Not permitted: redistributing the source, or repackaging it as a competing component library or a template-marketplace product
- Not included: Starter Kits do not include payment, booking, form delivery, membership, email or database backend services
- Not included: automatic unification of branding, color and type across templates — the Composer only offers sections from the same template by default
Common questions
- Is the Pro components' source visible on the site?
- The live previews here are the real components running, so the compiled implementation is already in your browser — that's true of every library that demos live, and we won't pretend otherwise. What Pro gives you is clean .tsx with comments and TypeScript types, installed into your project in one command, plus every update that follows. That's the part that saves you time.
